September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month
Imagine facing a diagnosis of Leukaemia. For some of our patients this news can come totally out of the blue and there is little time to prepare for intensive chemotherapy and life within an isolation side room. Life feels as if it has spiralled out of control. The LINC clinical psychologists will be there from initial diagnosis, through treatment and beyond, helping not only the patient but their families too.
One patient who spent months in isolation wrote, “I was hugely impressed and grateful that I could access high quality support so quickly and easily. I cannot underestimate the positive impact that the clinical psychologist and the LINC charity have had for us as a family”
This service is funded entirely by LINC and the generosity of donors like YOU. Every year LINC spends £50,000 for the clinical psychology service which is of vital importance to patients’ welfare. September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month so can you hold a Lunch for LINC? Just invite a few friends and ask them to make a donation to LINC. It could be tea or supper if you prefer. The LINC team can provide you with invitations and merchandise for you to host your own party. They can be contacted on 0300 422 4422 or at email@example.com.
Please help us raise £10,000 towards the funding of the two clinical psychologists who give emotional and vital support to our blood cancer patients and their families.
Please help us to continue to be able to provide this very important service.
