NEIL HOLBROOK - Presents HISTORY BENEATH YOUR FEET IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE
Neil Holbrook gave his second charity talk and this year spoke about “History beneath our Feet in Gloucestershire” to a packed audience in Cheltenham on Wednesday 6th February.
The very successful evening was part of a tenth anniversary fundraising year for LINC. Neil has been very supportive of the charity and welcomed the opportunity to raise further funds by giving a talk about what is hidden under our roads in Gloucestershire.
He captivated the audience by telling them of what lies beneath the Waitrose site in Cheltenham and also what has been found under the Gloucester ring road. As an archaeologist, he always finds it very exciting to hear about redevelopment of sites, as this enables him to investigate and hopefully find something of interest.
The audience all left a little bit more knowledgeable than when they arrived about what lies beneath the roads in Gloucestershire.
LINC raised a further £600 from the event
