Mark Wynn and Greg Mook Conquer The Cape Epic Bike Marathon
"The 14,635m climbing that we’ll need to complete during the week – not far short of cycling up (and down) Mount Everest TWICE !!!"
Epic hardly describes the last eight days. From the infamous railway line on day 1 followed by two days of blistering heat in the 40s which eventually caused Mark to lie down for a while. Then 5 increasingly solid days fir Pedal Inc, Team 317. Our overall time placed us around 80 out of 126 masters teams and 375/600 starting teams. A result that we're very proud of but a demonstration of the quality of the riders and the sheer grit and determination I'd so many people riding this week.
