Curry Demonstration
Curry Demonstration at Waitrose – Tuesday 24 March 2010
Neeta Dhanak - who until recently ran an Indian food catering company called Spice Alive – very kindly agreed to do a demonstration on how to make the perfect Chicken Korma. This may not sound very exciting to curry aficionados, but I can assure you Neeta’s korma tastes very different to those you might get at your local take away.
She delighted a capacity audience and encouraged people to participate by rolling out the dough balls for the chapattis to go with a generous portion of curry and rice for everyone.
LINC would also like to thank Waitrose for their generosity in providing the demonstration kitchen, the majority of the ingredients and a welcome glass of wine. Nearly all the ingredients Neeta used are available from Waitrose the only exception being the chapatti flour which she gets from the Indian shop on the lower High Street.
With a small raffle as well, this very enjoyable evening raised a wonderful £650 for LINC.
Our very sincere thanks to Neeta and to Waitrose.
