Cheltenham Carnival family fun day
Cheltenham Family Fun Day and Carnival Procession
This years Family Fun Day and Carnival procession will take place on Saturday 14th May 2011. Fun starts in Montpellier Park from 10 am until 4pm and the procession starts from 4.30 pm.
Please support the Carnival – all profits will go to LINC (The Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund).
What’s going on
- A day packed with fun for all the family from 10am
- Various musical theatre workshops for the children. Themes – Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins and Oliver
- Performances in the carnival theatre by ‘musical theatre’ and the ‘Comedia del Arte’
- The Crystal Dance Company from the Star College will also be performing in the afternoon
- Street art featuring the Canvas Company and the Everyman Theatre with music in the bandstand and throughout the park
- All children taking part in the various workshops will be encouraged to take part in the carnival parade at 4.30 pm
- A wide selection of craft stalls and food outlets for all the family
- Rides and entertainment for children
- Carnival procession begins at 4.30 pm
Children may like to come in a Wizard of Oz or Mary Poppins costume and join in the procession.
